The well ESBC built in Uganda
Matthew 25:35-40 NIV (Paraphrased)
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you game me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in…” Verse 37 “Lord when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?...” Verse 40 “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine,
you did for me.”
Excerpt from E-mail received from Joshua Anywarach after learning ESBC would fund a well for his village.
“I think I fell short of calling it a GREAT NEWS but a fulfillment of THE PROPHESY. The eve to the day of the news saw an old woman speak words of encouragement to me during my rally in her village. People were asking me for construction of a borehole or well and I kept on saying let’s pray about it. And this old woman shoots up and says JOSHUA, GOD WILL PROVIDE FOR THIS LAND CLEAN SOURCES OF WATER AS LONG AS YOU TRUST IN HIM. And the following day when I received the news from you, I thought it was a prophesy fulfilled.”
The Ugandan College Fund Project
When Joshua Carter Anywarach from Uganda was visitng ESBC he mentioned he had some young people who want to attend college, but are financially unable to do so. The cost of a degree in Uganda is approximately $5,000. One of our ESBC families wants to support these young people and thought others might also wish to do so. Depending on the degree, the students attend college for 3 or 4 years, two semesters per year. The semester cost varies from $600-$800 per semester depending on the course of study.

For more information on how you can contribute to the Ugandan College Fund, contact Rita Rash at 816.804.9619 If you would like to donate by check, please earmark your check for

Ugandan College Opportunities
Joshua Carter Anywarach sent the biographies below on the 3 students wishing to attend college.
Fauzia Jabiir, born on 10/25/1989. She lost her dad at the age of 6. Grew up with her single mother. The mother was denied the husband's property inheritance just because she bore him only girls. As a result of such backward traditional culture she had to struggle with all her five girls including Fauzia. The rest have had to drop out of school and marry due to the inability to pay for further education. She hopes to work on a degree in Commerce at Makerere University.

Obethu Albert, born on 06/14/1990. He has both parents but is absolutely poor. He did study his secondary education (i.e high school) by working on the school fields for his fees and upkeep. Although he passed his university entry exams very highly so as to join university last year, Obethu had to sit home because he doesn't have the funds to attend college. His brilliant hope of making it through in life is seemingly getting faded. He hopes to get a degree in finance and management.

Atyeronimungu Tonny has had to drop out of university during his second semester of the first year. He was working on a degree in education. He hails from a family of over ten kids and polygamous family. I love his love for the rest of the other friends and community.
