Christ Centered. Bible Believing. Family Focused.

I'm New Here

We want it to be easy for you to come to church. We want you to experience a great time in worship and meet friendly people who will welcome you into the family of Excelsior Springs Baptist. We know that first-time visits to any church raise many questions and concerns. Here's a quick look at some frequently asked questions that will hopefully give you a better idea of what to expect when you visit. If you don't see an answer to your question here or on any of the specific ministry pages, please contact us in the church office by calling 816-630-6341. Our staff would love to assist you in preparation for your visit to ESBC.

Where are you located?
Our address is 1500 Rosalea St, Excelsior Springs MO - just off of HWY 69 near Rainbow pool.

Where do I park?
We have reserved parking spaces for first-time guests. These spaces are conveniently located opposite of our front doors in the parking lot. If you need assistance, feel free to ask any of the greeters.

Where do I go?
Greeters are located at the front entrance to the building and are available to direct you to the Sanctuary for worship, to a classroom for Bible Study or to any specific ministry meeting area.

What should I wear?
Dress comfortably. We're more concerned with meeting your needs than focusing on what you wear. While some people do choose to wear their "Sunday best", most people wear casual clothing. We only ask that you be modest and appropriate in what you choose to wear to worship.

What do I need to bring?
A Bible will help you follow along in both worship and Bible Study. If you have a Bible, bring it with you. If you don't have a Bible, copies are located in the Sanctuary and in Bible Study classrooms for your use.

When do I need to arrive?
Sunday morning Worship services begin promptly at 11:00am. Bible Study classes meet at 10:00am. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the service/class time to allow adequate time for parking and getting to the Sanctuary/Bible Study class.

Is the church handicap accessible?
Yes. There is reserved parking directly in front of the Sanctuary. The building is also equipped with wheelchair accessible entrances and handicap accessible restrooms located throughout the building. Should you need assistance, please call the church office ahead of time and we'll be waiting on you to help you get to where you're going.

Where do my children go?
We offer fun, age appropriate lessons for all ages from bed babies through 5 years, children (grades 1-5) and Youth (grades 6-college) meet throughout the building.

How are visitors recognized?
The last thing we want to do is single you out or put you on the spot. We ask visitors to fill out a Guest Information Card located inside of the weekly bulletin and simply drop it in the offering plate so that we can have a record of your visit. We'll never ask you to stand up or call you out in any way. We want you to have a wonderful experience at ESBC and we strive to create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel right at home.

We hope you'll join us soon!
